Enjoy this fully equipped B&B studio apartment with a private ground level entrance and its own covered patio. The living room area has a queen bed and comfortable sofa for relaxing and watching television. The modern kitchen is spacious with new appliances and has a large counter for dining. The bathroom has a corner shower and also washer and dryer. You may share the family BBQ on the covered patio.
Wireless internet service is provided in the apartment.
Your Hosts
Your hosts, Diana and Norbert, live on the premises and have one child in high school and three children studying at the University of Alaska in Anchorage. Norbert is a Southeast Alaska marine pilot with many years experience aboard various types of ships and many sea stories to tell! Diana works part time locally as the maritime coordinator for the University of Alaska Southeast campus in Ketchikan.
Breakfast
Breakfast foods are provided for your first breakfast only and generally include fresh fruit in season, juice, milk, coffee, tea, yogurt, bagels and pastries. Other items are provided as requested. The kitchen is outfitted and stocked prior to your arrival with staples and condiments.
Location
This home is located SOUTH OF TOWN at approximately Milepost 2 South Tongass Highway about five minutes from downtown Ketchikan and about ten minutes from the ferry.

Pet Policy
Pets are allowed with prior approval. Hosts have pet rules which will be discussed when making a reservation and a pet deposit is usually required. A charge of $10 per day will be added to the room rate for each pet. Purchase of Travel Guard's Accidental Rental Damage Insurance is required. The cost is $45 for $1,500 coverage (one pet) and $69 for $3000 coverage (two or more pets).
NOTE: Transportation is not included to this vacation rental. If you will not have a car, you can either take a taxi cab or use the BUS. The RED LINE stops on South Tongass Highway at the base of Forest Park Drive. It is about a 1/4 mile walk to this property. Since part of the way is pretty steep, you should consider a taxi when arriving with luggage. Check-in is guaranteed after 4 p.m. and check-out is 12 noon. If you need an earlier check-in or later check out, arrangements will need to be made with the host prior to your arrival.
